#MakeFilmEqual is LIVE!

Our crowdfunding #MakeFilmEqual is now LIVE!  You can get involved by visiting HERE .

The Fourteen Percent feature documentary is currently in production and the #MakeFilmEqual campaign will enable us to get it out there.

The Fourteen Percent looks at how disabled people are portrayed as victims, villains or martyrs and how able-bodied filmmakers and actors have exploited negative depictions of disability to win awards and gain stardom.
The film examines the emerging grass roots disability film movement in the UK and how disabled people are fighting back against outdated and outmoded portrayals of disability.

The title is a comment on the statistic from industry body Creative Skillset that although the workforce as a whole is 14%, only 0.3% of the film industry’s workforce is disabled.
